History > Sonneveld House
Huis Sonneveld, national monument and under management of the Nederlands Architectuur Instituut (NAI, Dutch Architecture Institution), is the luxurious and comfortable variant of “the New Building”.
Gispen was the most important supplier of furniture. Almost all interior elements were steel tube furniture: The famous Gispen seats, tables and lamps; but also specifically designed furniture only for this particular project. The dining room table for example, with ingenuously built-in electrical bell system.
Gispen also produced the beautiful make-up dresser for the bedroom, designed by Van der Vlugt.
