“Nature with city elements” was the theme Gispen used for furnishing the Adviesdienst Geo-informatie en ICT van Rijkswaterstaat (a department of the Ministry of Transportation and Water management).

The employees chose natural materials, warm colors and playful elements to furnish the office with. Combined, it creates a pleasant contrast with the transparent and modern architecture of the new building. The specially designed restaurant looks like a metaphor of a meadow by using bright yellow chairs like flowers in bloom.

The design of the office Furniture emphasized communication and efficiency. It makes a distinction between long, middle and short stay workstations that facilitate different ways of working inside the organization. The same principle was used to design project areas, meeting rooms, and rooms for printers, copiers and other technical equipment.
