Gispen Triennial furniture line - Gispen - Van Esch - Anke Bernotat
The Triennial chair (classic) has been in Gispen’s collection since 2009 and is known for its high level of comfort. We have now made a series out of this distinctive design. A family of chairs that will allow you to create your own atmosphere. The most striking detail of Triennial is its seat, consisting of two upholstered parts. The ‘separate’ cushion forms the backrest and is perfectly in line with the seat. Give your Triennial a personal touch by combining colours and fabrics.
Anke Bernotat divides her time between her own company Bernotat&Co Design Studio in Amsterdam and a lectureship in product design at the Folkwang University in Essen.
The circular economy resembles all that Gispen stands for, a philosophy in which we go above and beyond to prevent materials from becoming waste. This philosophy was also applied when we developed Triennial which, due to its modular structure, is perfectly suited for the constantly changing world we live and work in. In the brochure, you can read more about the different models and the sustainable structure of the Triennial series of chairs.
omponents within the Triennial collection are interchangeable. This allows you to give the chairs many different applications within your working environment. You can even switch components on site to make a bar stool out of a conference chair, for instance.

Gispen believes in the circular model. For this reason, we kept possible returns and reuses of components and materials in mind when we designed Triennial. You are guaranteed of a full exchange of your product; Gispen stands for high quality products and takes responsibility for their entire lifecycle. During this cycle, we strive to prevent waste production as far as possible.
