Cimo stands for ‘circular’ and ‘modular’. This desk collection combines sustainability with a characteristic, modular design. Not to mention its clever and innovative adjustment mechanism, as well as a design that supports a healthy way of working, because it allows you to easily alternate between a sitting or standing position behind your desk. This desk collection has been specially designed to be of service to you in both the present and the future.
CIMO Solo workstations are perfectly suited for offices, or as solitary workstations in an open office environment. CIMO also makes for a pleasant conference table, which is easy to adjust in height for either a seated or standup meeting.
CIMO workstations are a perfect step towards in interior which you can adapt at any time as requirements change. Setups with T-shaped bases can be converted into workstations with side panels, for example. You can even convert a solo workstation into a dual or even a four-pack workstation, all due to the modular design of CIMO.
The modular mounting points are the secret behind the modular capabilities of the system: everything is assembled through a screw, magnet or snap-on connection. No special tools are required for (dis)assembly.
Sitting at a desk for long periods of time is unhealthy. However, we are bound to working with computers which means that we are basically stuck to our desks. Being able to vary between a seated and standing position is important, and this is exactly what CIMO is all about. Employees can quickly and easily change the height of their CIMO desks.
The crank handle adjusts the desk by no less than 3 cm with each rotation, a massive improvement when compared to systems that have been available up until now, which only adjust by 3 mm per rotation. This makes electric height adjustment systems obsolete, which is not only more user-friendly, it is also more economical and more cost-effective.
The CIMO workstation comes in many forms. Its basic design is sleek and modern; combine endlessly from an extensive assortment of components to give each desk a personal touch. You can choose from a wide range of colours and tabletop finishes; modules and accessories can be added or left out.
Add some cosiness to a workstation by adding an upholstered dividing screen, for example. Are you looking for a more natural look? Opt for the multiplex top. These are good examples of how you can give your CIMO its own distinctive look.
Nothing is as frustrating as having to crawl under a desk to find a power socket or USB port. CIMO makes working in the digital era much easier; it offers a practical solution by offering power and data from the tabletop.
Proper cable management provides a safe and tidy place of work. The CIMO programme offers a wide range of cabling solutions. And if there is need for a higher capacity, CIMO will adapt and facilitate that change.
Gispen believes firmly in its circular model, which is why we already took account of returns and reuse of components and materials when we designed CIMO. Gispen stands for high-quality products and takes responsiblity for their entire lifespan, while reducing waste production for as far as possible. When a CIMOproduct is at the end of its lifecycle, we will give it a new function or refurbish it into a product that is as good as new.
We moved a CIMO desk up and down 10,000 times, without having to conduct any maintenance. This equals 20 years of use.
With a circularity percentage of 75%, CIMO is valued at 4 stars on our circular design framework, which we are very proud of.
