REVIVED by Gispen - Casala - Dutch Originals - Interstuhl - Medisit - Willem Hendrik Gispen

Casala is known for contract furniture, furniture to be deployed where design is to prove its functional worth: in congress halls and churches, at offices, universities and government agencies, and in care centres. As you can see, Casala's contract furniture could be used for many different purposes.
By combining the latest findings in ergonomics with high quality components and sophisticated design, Medisit has reinvented sitting comfortably.

Willem Hendrik Gispen (1890 - 1981) started in 1916 the art forge W.H. Gispen & Co in Rotterdam.

The first products to leave the workshop were mostly embellished unicum’s of wrought iron, copper or bronze.

Soon the company expanded and changed his name into Gispen's Fabriek voor Metaalbewerking N.V. (Gispen’s Factory for Metallurgie). In 1926 Gispen started with the production of Giso-lamps and three years later, as the first factory in The Netherlands, he started with the manufacturing of steel tube furniture for home and office.
