Paying special attention to children's motor skills
Improving motor skills with furniture from Gispen Presikhaaf
The Gispen Presikhaaf School Furniture collection includes furniture and tools that help develop and stimulate children's motor skills.
Motor skills can be divided into two types that are closely related: Gross motor skills are involved in movement and coordination of the entire body such as crawling, climbing, walking and dancing. Fine motor skills involve small movements with your hands and fingers, such as reading, drawing and writing, but also grabbing fine objects such as marbles.
The Gispen Presikhaaf School Furniture collection includes furniture and tools that help develop and stimulate children's motor skills. An important aspect of these tools is that they attract children's attention and are fun to use in the study plaza or classroom both during and after school hours.
Examples
Examples of furniture and tools that are designed for development and stimulation of gross motor skills include the WOODI AS2 sailboat, the WOODI AS30 set of laughing mirrors and the WOODI F10H playhouse.
Training fine motor skills
Furniture and tools that improve fine motor skills include the user-friendly and fun WOODI AS training boards, the INLINE Multi Cabinets and WOODI OSRP-6 activity table where children can play with Legos or wooden blocks, or the mobile workshop trolley with whiteboards or chalkboards on which they can draw, paint and write.
