The philosophy behind REVIVED is to take used pieces of furniture and refurbish them to be as good as new again. Chairs are reupholstered, for example, tabletops get replaced and electrical systems are overhauled. All these activities take place at our Circular Hub.

Gispen REVIVED products are offered at our Circular Hub. The product range consists of furniture items that we have purchased or that were returned to us, after which they were cleaned, refurbished and repaired where necessary. 1. FURNITURE ACQUISITION
Our furniture brokers are not only specialised in taking stock of Ahrend and Gispen furniture; they also buy other brands in the industry. You will always receive an honest and transparent valuation, based on the actual residual value of the furniture.
Our refurbishment experts have many years of experience in maintaining furniture.
2. QUALITY CONTROL
Our refurbishment experts check all furniture for proper functionality; we only sell products that are 100% functional. On a technical level, we check all components (electronics etc.) and replace items where necessary. When it comes to aesthetics, we only accept wear marks that are within our quality standards.

3. REFURBISHMENT
All products that do not pass our strict quality control, are sent to our refurbishment workshop. This is where the products are refurbished into a REVIVED product. This includes replacing castors, reupholstering seats or replacing electronic sit/stand systems.
We always deliver from stock in order to guarantee a lead time of 5-10 business days.
4. WEBSHOP
As soon as the product is as good as new again, it is photographed in our own studio and put up for sale on the webshop, after which the product is packaged and shelved.
After cleaning and final inspection, the furniture is given a unique label.
5. CLEANING AND FINAL CHECKUP
The cleaning and final check is performed by our refurbishment experts, who give the furniture a REVIVED label or sticker. This ensures that you are 100% satisfied with your refurbished furniture.
We use our own transport to keep the risk of damage to a minimum.
6. TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY
You will receive notice of the delivery day at least one week in advance. If that particular day is not convenient for you, you can always contact us to reschedule. Our transporters deliver the products ready-for-use. The product is installed in the desired location and the packaging material is taken back right away.
Did you know that the CO2 emissions from the production of an average desk is 80 kg? With our circular Gispen desk this is 44 kg and with our REVIVED desks it is only 10 kg. With REVIVED we give used furniture a new life. This not only reduces CO2 emissions, but also prevents raw materials from becoming waste.
Did you know that the CO2 emissions from the production of an average office chair is 110 kg? With our circular Gispen office chair this is 98 kg and with our REVIVED office chairs it is only 4 kg. We take back old products and refurbish them in the Circular Hub. For example, we reupholster chairs, replace table tops and electrical systems. Our furniture is as good as new again, without wasting raw materials.
REVIVED tabletop
A REVIVED tabletop is an innovative, circular choice for an Gispen TMNL table or desk. It reduces the environmental impact whilst choosing a robust material with a long life-span.
Compact material has been widely used for tabletops in the past. Tabletops made of this material can last up to 30 years. In practice, they are replaced after 10 years on average and the material is lost.
Our Circular Hub takes in around 5,000 used Compact tabletops every year. These are refurbished with a new top layer by an external processor. The now REVIVED tabletops are ready for their next life cycle. This process leads to a carbon footprint reduction of about 95%. By repeating it, we retain the value over multiple life cycles.

Gispen believes in maximum reuse and refurbishment. The new products that complete a design where necessary are developed according to the latest insights in sustainability. We design products to ensure maximum use and lifespan, and to make them easy to repair and reuse. Our designs are high-quality, timeless, and modular in structure. This makes maintenance, repair and revitalisation simple. The components are reusable and can be applied in multiple ways. In all our designs we ensure minimal material waste. We aim for the lowest possible CO₂ emissions during production, but also during and after the use of our furniture. And we ensure minimal depletion of resources.
